Flames and thick smoke billowed into the Monrovia sky on Saturday, November 15, as a significant structure fire broke out in the 500 block of W. Duarte Road.

First responders from the Monrovia Fire Department arrived on the scene to find a building already overcome by the blaze, with fire consuming both its interior and exterior.

The intensity of the fire prompted an immediate call for backup.

Crews from the Arcadia Fire Department and Los Angeles County Fire quickly arrived, providing critical mutual aid to help contain the destructive scene.

Their combined and rapid response was crucial in preventing the fire from spreading to adjacent properties in the densely populated area.

Remarkably, officials confirmed that no injuries were reported among civilians or the firefighters who bravely tackled the inferno.

Firefighters worked for hours, dousing hotspots and securing the location to ensure the fire was fully extinguished.

Now, the focus has shifted entirely to the investigation.

Fire officials are meticulously working to uncover the origin and circumstances that led to the destructive event.

As of now, no further details about the building or its occupants have been made public, as authorities continue their careful examination of the scene.
