Duarte Launches Virtual Deputy Program for Non-Emergency Police Services |
Residents can now schedule video calls with LASD deputies to report minor incidents, request patrol checks, and get assistance, no station visit required. |
Duarte residents now have a faster, more convenient way to connect with local law enforcement thanks to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s new Virtual Deputy Program. Available through the Temple Sheriff’s Station, the service allows community members to handle select non-emergency matters without needing to visit the station in person.
Through a simple online appointment system, residents can schedule a video call with a deputy to ask general questions, request patrol checks, or report certain property-related incidents. Users may also upload photos or videos when relevant, helping deputies provide more informed assistance.
The program is designed to streamline non-emergency interactions, reducing call volume and freeing up deputies to focus on urgent situations. At the same time, it offers residents a more flexible, modern way to engage with law enforcement.
This service is strictly for non-emergencies and cannot be used for urgent incidents or formal complaints. An online questionnaire determines eligibility, and approved users will receive a scheduling link via email, be sure to check spam folders if it doesn’t appear right away.
For emergencies, always call 9-1-1. For non-emergency assistance, residents can contact the Temple Sheriff’s Station at (626) 285-7171. |
