The Duarte Public Safety Department has announced a temporary relaxation of specific parking rules for the holiday season.

This is a welcome gesture for residents hosting guests.

Enforcement of street sweeping and overnight parking restrictions between 3 a.m. and 6 a.m. will be paused from Monday, November 24, through Sunday, November 30.

A similar grace period will be in effect from Monday, December 22, through Sunday, January 4, for the Christmas and New Year's holidays.

However, officials urge caution, as not all rules are suspended.

Citations will still be issued for violations such as parking at red curbs, blocking fire hydrants, and improper recreational vehicle parking.

RV permits will still be required and enforced during both holiday periods.

Permits are available exclusively at the Duarte Public Safety Office on Huntington Drive.
